# Itinerary / Tour Plan:

* Day-1:

(NJP Station / Hasimara Station to Phuentsholing)

On arrival at Hasimara / Siliguri / Bagdogra, you will be received by our office executive who will meet & greet on Arrival with Khaddar (Bhutanese Traditional Silk Scarves) assist you to transfer to Phuntsholing. The drive is through green Dooars - the land of breath taking beauty, sloping tea

gardens and spectacular views. 

Upon arrival, proceed for check in to hotel. The evening is free for leisure and shopping. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

**Phuntsholing is a border town in southern Bhutan, that lies opposite the Indian town named Jaigaon. The cross border trade has resulted in a thriving local economy. Phuentsholing is uniquely more urban than other Bhutanese towns, having absorbed the neighbouring culture, but distinctly far more quiet and orderly than its neighbour.**

Your entry permission will be processed here.

Overnight stay in phuentsholing .

* Day-2:

Processing of Immigration Permit & Proceed Thimphu Natural Sightseeing Enroute & Overnight Stay. (150 Kms - 5 Hrs) :

After Breakfast: 8:30 AM (IST) reach Immigration Office for processing entry permit to Thimphu & Paro only. The Guide will help you to get local SIM Cards (Internet enabled- one month valid) and currency change. 

Finally you will start for Thimphu. 10 kilometers from Phuentsholing you will experience natural AC all along the journey. The cloud will welcome you for another 45 kilometers like Amazon Forest. There are enchanting waterfalls across the valley for beautiful picture. 

Lunch at Dam View Restaurant. It is a fascinating view point of first hydro power of Bhutan (Chukha), Generating 336 MW of hydro Power (Renewable Energy). 

Upon arrival, check in to hotel. The evening is free to roam around city for leisure and shopping, by your own. You may enjoy the night life (Disco Theque, KAROEKE and Drayang).

Thimpu is the capital to the tiny HimalayanKingdom of Bhutan. It is perhaps the smallest capital in the world. It is a gallery of traditional Bhutanese art, architecture, culture and tradition and above all still so ethnic and pure. For most part of its history, Bhutan has tried consciously to save its cultures from the blunt influences of the western world. All these make Thimpuand other parts of the country a unique destination.

Night stay at Thimphu.

* Day-3:

Thimpu Local Sight Seeing :

After breakfast by 9:00 AM start for the sightseeing tour to visit - Memorial Stupa (Memorial of 3rd King by Her majesty queen mother Phuentsho Choden in 1976. 

Further up 7 Kilometers is Buddha Point- 169 feet Buddha Statue worth 47 Million US$ sponsored by Peter Thieu (Singaporeans Business Tycoon). 

Next Changangkha-12th Century Temple of compassionate Buddha (11th faced) by a son of Phajo Drugom Shigpo. 

Next visit to Takin Zoo / Takin Reserve (Takin is the National Animal of Bhutan). 

Further down is King's Palace (Outer View), Parliament (Outer View), Reserve Bank of Bhutan, Election Commission and Tashichoe Dzong.

Aftre Lunch Break, Visit - 

Painting School (13 Arts and Crafts), National Library (Teaching of Lord Buddha and Commentaries by Buddhist Scholars) - Folk Heritage Museum (Ancient Lifestyle of aboriginal Bhutanese People). Crafts Bazar (Authentic Bhutanese Handicrafts). 

In Evening: Stroll Through the Market of Thimphu back to Hotel.

Night Stay at Thimphu.

* Day-4:

# Thimpu to Punakha Transfer (After Processing Permit) & Overnight Stay (85 Kms - 3 Hrs) :

Punakha served as the capital of Bhutan during the time of Zhabdrun Ngawang Namkgyal, the founder of Bhutan. Today it is the administrative and religious center of the district and the winter home of Bhutan's Central Monk Body. It is blessed with temperate climate and owing to its natural drainage from Pho Chhu (male) river and Mo Chhu (female) river, the Punakha valley produces abundant crops and fruits.

After Breakfast, check out from Thimphu & proceed to Punakha via Do-Chu-La. Ascending 700 Meters through 26 Km you will reach majestic Dochu-La Pass (10,000 ft.). During a clear days you will get a chance to see Himalayan mountain ranges surrounding Bhutan. Enjoy a spectacular view of the highest

Mountain of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. The beauty of this place is further enhanced by the Druk Wangyal Chorten – a 108 stupas, war memorial; Druk Wangyel Temple (Victorious Commemoration for Forth Kings); 16 Steps, 34 Blocks and 11 meditation caves. 

After Lunch break at Lobesa, walk 45 minutes to visit Chimi lhakang (Fertility Temple), Punakha Dzong (Winter Residence of Dharma Raja) - 1937 built by first Dharma Raja. See the Longest Suspension Bridge over the male river (Pho Chu)

Over night stay at Punakha

* Day 5:

Thimphu to Paro (130 Kms - 4 Hrs) :

Paro is often called the gateway to the Himalayan Kingdom. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you would be transferred to Paro valley following Wang-Chhu and Po-Chu Rivers. The distance between Punakha and Paro is 130 km & it would take approximately 4 hours to cover the distance.

En route visit- 

1. Botanical Park [46 Species of Rhododendron], 

2. View Point of Simtokha Dzong of 1629 [First Dzong built By Zhabdrung], 

3. Three stupas [Bhutanese, Tibetan & Nepali style], 

4. Iron Bridge of 1443 by Thangtong Gyelpo. 

Then proceed to Paro the Only International Airport in Bhutan having a population of 39,800. On arrival, check in to hotel in Paro.

Evening free to explore the beautiful town Paro & experience the typical Bhutanese culture & architectures all around. You can stroll through beautiful handicraft market of Paro.

* Day-6:

Paro Local Sight-Seeing:

After breakfast, let's start for the full day local sightseeing. Paro is a town and seat of Paro District in Paro Valley - Sacred sites and historical buildings scattered all across the valley - The Valley is wide and beautiful - The sightseeing starts with visit to -  

1. National Museum (Since 1976). 

2. Rinpung Dzong (1646), 

3. Kichu Monastery (746AD), 

4. Drukgyal Dzong (1649), 

5. Dungtse Lhakang (1434), 

6. Dzongdrakha Monastery (Legendary Stupa), 

7. Taktsang / Tiger's Nest Monastery (Long Distance View Point)

8. Paro valley view (8Km from Bondey)

In evening back to hotel in Paro.

Over night stay in Paro.

* Day-7:

Paro to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport Drop (300 Km. / 8.5 Hrs. journey by road)

Today after breakfast check-out for Paro with a

cute smile on your face remembering all the sweet moments spent here and drive back to Hasimara / NJP / Bagdogra for your return journey, with wonderful &

everlasting memories of BHUTAN.
