3 Days in Zhangjiajie: The Avatar Mountains
Those floating mountains from Avatar? They're real—and better in person.
Here's how we did it:
Day 1: Avatar Mountains
Started at Wulingyuan Gate → took the glass elevator straight up the cliff → hiked through Yuanjiajie to see the famous Hallelujah Mountain → caught sunset at Tianzi Mountain
Day 2: Glass Bridge + Bungee
Grand Canyon glass bridge → walked across (terrifying but incredible) → watched people bungee jump from the world's highest commercial jump → took the alpine slide back down
Day 3: Golden Whip Stream
Easy 7km walk along the river. Monkeys everywhere, fresh mountain air, almost no crowds. Locals call it a "natural oxygen bar."
The logistics are tricky—lots of buses and cable cars—but once you're there, it's unreal.
