IS JEJU ISLAND STILL VISA-FREE?
Sharing about my visa-free trip to Jeju Island, South Korea, on October 13th, I've drawn some extremely surprising experiences as follows:
-
Jeju Island is truly visa-free for Vietnamese people, but there are no direct flights from VN to Jeju, so I flew with Scoot Airlines and transited at Changi, Singapore (no visa needed) and then flew straight to Jeju Island. However, if you have a Korean visa, flying to Seoul or Incheon will be much easier.
-
When entering South Korea, customs will check you with questions about the purpose of your trip, the places you will visit, your accommodation, and especially your round-trip flight ticket.
-
Many people are denied entry at Jeju Island because they couldn't clearly state their sightseeing purpose, so please research the locations and things you want to do in Jeju thoroughly!
-
Buying a 3G sim, you should buy it before flying to Korea for a better price and to avoid borrowing wifi like me, which was very inconvenient.
-
Jeju Island has many check-in spots and extremely pleasant weather: Seongsan Peak, Lava tube, Aqua planet,.. so many places, everyone.
-
I used the Naver app to translate Korean speech because I'm not good at Korean or Papago.
-
Although it's an island, it has all traditional dishes that you should try if you can't get a visa like me.
Wishing you a fresh experience when coming to Jeju. Việt Sun thanks everyone.
