The Korean government has just announced a series of new policies to promote international tourism, evaluated as the strongest changes in many years.
The most notable point is that residents in major cities of Vietnam and China will be granted multiple-entry visas with a 10-year validity period, instead of 5 years as before. At the same time, the condition of having entered Korea before 2016 has been completely abolished, helping many first-time visa applicants have an easier opportunity.
Not only that, Korea is also expanding many favorable policies for tourists from other regions. Indonesian tourists can be visa-exempt for group tours of 3 or more people, while citizens of European Union (EU) countries will be able to use the automatic entry gate system at airports to shorten processing time.
In the south, the city of Busan has also begun allowing the international cruise port to operate 24 hours to attract more cruise tourists.
